Following from the success of last year's You Are Happy, I've again gone for a Halloween release for the next offering. This album consists of seven brand new songs and one exclusive remix by German rhythmic noise artist Stahlschlag.
There is still the same crushing quality to the musical landscape, which tends to be dominated by drones, samples and distorted vocals and percussion and owes a lot to Imminent Starvation, Skinny Puppy and Test Dept.. While some of Non-Bio's more recent albums have focused somewhat on the current political climate (particularly in the United Kingdom) and a slide backwards towards the conditions of the 1980s, the new album takes a step away from this and portrays a more introspective view, alternating between despair and flights of escapist fantasy. The tracks are, on average, longer than what has gone previously and are intended to take the listener on somewhat more of 'a journey'.
There are not currently any plans to release this album on physical media and it will be available as a download only from the usual Bandcamp page.
A promo video has recently been released for the opening track Island In A Lake of Spinal Fluid.
